Technical and management personnel from the gas industry will once again gather at gat, the Gas Industry Congress and Trade Exhibition, to be held this year October 25 and 26.

Natural gas does not normally have its own odor. To warn consumers of its presence, gas is combined with an odorant, and more and more natural gas suppliers are turning to sulfur-free Gasodor^® S-Free for this purpose. For the time being, one characteristic of Gasodor^® S-Free has limited its application, however: the odorant could not be used in oxygen-free environments.

Interest in gas as a source of energy remains high and its future potential is promising. This was the conclusion of the gas industry experts and managers who came to the gat conference of gas industry professionals held November 30 – December 1, in Stuttgart.
